Client Background

Founded by everyday individuals concerned about plastic waste, Unicorn Pack offers certified eco-friendly, compostable packaging and mailers.

They aim to provide a simple, plant-based alternative to traditional plastic, encouraging both individuals and businesses to reduce their environmental impact and contribute to a sustainable future.

They began their product line with six versatile, eco-friendly packaging options.

Challenge Faced

Key Employee Resignation 

Unicorn Pack had previously had an employee who dealt with cold email outreach previously. However, when they resigned it led to inefficient lead generation because of other priorities.

Cold Email Spam

Similar to Kintsugi, Unicornpack battled spam. 

We were able to build the inbox deliverability setup from the ground up, switching email copies, infrastructure and warmup providers. 

LinkedIn Optimization

Unicornpack faced several challenges with LinkedIn profile optimization, branding and reached out to Getsales.io, our premium partner for LinkedIn Outreach Automation – who referred Inboxpirates to Unicornpack.

Solution Provided

We figured the solution for Unicornpack Revolved around the following steps: 

1. Fix and Brand the LinkedIn profiles.

Unlike the technical industry, a lot of  packaging industry experts like Evan Su weren’t active on LinkedIn. This meant we had to refine the messaging from the ground up.  

2. Re-build the email infrastructure.

We conducted spam tests with the existing domains and inboxes to see if we can instantly fix them and use them for cold email outreach. 

However, upon closer inspection it was revealed the domains were blacklisted, and the warmup tools used were risky. 

In 3 weeks, we rebuilt the entire cold email infrastructure with 50 inboxes and 25 domains. 

3. Find the winning offer. 

If you’ve watched Alex Hormozi, you’ll quickly realise nothing beats a winning offer. 

We had two offers for the packaging industry: 

  • 3D Mockups 
  • Sample Packs 

After a quick A/B test we realised sample packs won it by a stretch!

Implementation Process

Unicornpack came with a variety of implementation challenges like: 

  • Inactive LinkedIn Audience 
  • Dealing with several timezones with customers in United States, sourcing team in China and leadership team in Australia. 

However, we were able to beat all challenges to hit this one off the park.

Conducted Ideal Customer Persona Research to find winning deals in sourcing, sustainability and executive teams of fashion brands.

A/B tested several offers and call-to-actions like sample packs, 3d mockups, and website visits to build a high-converting sales funnel.

Unicorn pack required several integrations between LinkedIn & Hubspot, along with Email and Hubspot.

Successfully launched the Unicorn Pack Lead Generation Campaign on multiple platforms.

Results and Outcomes

Unicorn Pack needed a high-volume, high-quality outbound strategy to accelerate sales for their eco-friendly packaging solutions. In just three months, our email and LinkedIn outreach generated 100 sales-qualified leads (SQLs)—decision-makers actively looking for sustainable packaging alternatives. By refining their LinkedIn profile branding and optimizing messaging sequences, we not only increased engagement but also positioned Unicorn Pack as the go-to provider in the eco-packaging space.

The results? Over 15 sales-qualified opportunities (SQOs) and a streamlined sales funnel that converted interest into revenue.

Through a positive reply subsequence and strategic follow-ups, we helped Unicorn Pack move leads swiftly through the pipeline, proving that sustainability sells when paired with the right outreach strategy.
